Cloud Compute Center

Under the principle that "Computing Power is National Power," and under the guidance of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC) of the National Institutes of Applied Research (NIAR) actively aligns with government policies. The center continuously drives the construction and application of supercomputers, striving to boost Taiwan's scientific research computing power and meet the immense computational demands brought by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.

To satisfy the facility and environmental requirements needed for high-performance computing, the NCHC has constructed a new Cloud Compute Center at the Tainan Science Park. Featuring advanced infrastructure design, this center significantly enhances computing and storage capacity while balancing energy efficiency and sustainability, serving as a vital computing hub shared by national research and industrial sectors.

The new Cloud Compute Center will not only support domestic academic research institutions in achieving breakthroughs in frontier scientific fields, but also assist industry sectors in accelerating the practical application of AI, big data analytics, and high-performance computing, further bolstering Taiwan's position in global technological competition. Looking forward, the NCHC will continue to collaborate across industry, government, academia, and research sectors to build the core computing infrastructure required for a smart nation, realizing the vision of "A Research Powerhouse, A Digital Taiwan."
