Smart City
- Introduction
Smart city refers to the use of information technology to integrate a city's systems and services for urban safety, energy, and public safety. The big data accumulated from environment monitoring and simulations is combined with artificial intelligence, such as image recognition technology for adverse urban environments (e.g. rain, fog, flood, and fire accidents), crowd tracking and positioning technology, and public facility safety monitoring technology, and open data from communities, civil issues, and other organizations are also included in big data analysis for public safety predictions. The NCHC improves energy use efficiency and reduces pollution from power consumption via offshore wind turbines and an integrated smart energy information management system, which were established in coordination with the government's promotion of green energy technology with Shalun as the R&D and display center. It also develops products for big data analysis, R&D, and application in coordination with the electricity prices and demand during the implementation period.
- Scientific Breakthrough
- Image analysis services related to people flow, traffic flow, disaster prevention, and monitoring.
- The crowd image recognition technology can determine the location of each face in the crowd, and further analyze the number of people, age, gender, and route information.
- Community, civil issue, and public sentiment analysis.
- Smart grid integration analysis.
- Industry Applications
Smart city and community related technologies are developed to meet the demand on disaster prevention, public security, fire safety, public safety, energy, and transportation in cities. These technologies can be applied to monitoring, security, IoT, market and exhibition hall, logistics, and power related industries.
