TWCC Launches “Data Analysis Service (DAS)” to Accelerate the Progress of Enterprise Smart Transformation

In the era of digitalization, enterprises are bound to apply digital technology to drive the change of operation and business model if they want to thoroughly remold themselves to rebuild their competitive advantages. In order to facilitate the intelligence transformation, the NCHC of NARLabs declared to launch the “Data Analysis Service (DAS)” on Taiwan Computer Cloud (TWCC) today (August 25) to provide a one-stop data analysis and computation integration. As from today, application for probation is available for enterprises/governmental organizations, and a limited number of “advanced enterprise version” is provided. At present, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Tainan City Government and other groups have actively joined to apply DAS for smart medical treatment, smart city and other fields. 


George Orwell said, “Who controls the past controls the future.” What enterprises can best control is the information accumulated in the past. However, when most enterprises apply AI, they often face the difficulties of facility and establishment integration, high privacy requirements and safety. Thus, NCHC proposes the cloud-based integrated solution—DAS, to reduce the cost of enterprise establishment and operation maintenance facilities. Besides, because of the seamless integration of DAS and TWCC, data can be directly connected to a high-efficiency accelerator engine for analysis, to optimize the whole flow with great efficiency. The international-level network, information security certification and privacy specification of NCHC can protect users’ data at the same time and realize the direct use of data without departure.


The DAS of TWCC mainly provides an environment of flow integration and cooperation, which consists of the processes that add value to data and are required to produce intelligence, and the tools required by every link, making the whole processing of source materials smooth, including collection, integration, cleaning, organization, analysis, model establishment and mode deployment and introduction. Moreover, the personnel of different processing flows in the AI project or the trans-department and cross-company teams may also share and cooperate on such common platform to conduct data processing, analysis and communication, so as to make the journey of data intelligence more relaxed and time-saving.  


Different from the flow of small AI analysis, DAS provides the function of model monitoring and management, which can detect whether the model after deployment has any biased error, so as to correct the model and assist to increase the success opportunity and transparency of AI application. The “advanced enterprise version” provides the function of data organization and management. By the setting of common rules, the data from different sources of every department can be easily governed. The data can be searched easily remaining in its original place for the easy use of the team. In addition, advanced analysis tools, such as streams flow, modeler flow, and AutoAI, are also provided for real-time data processing. 


Director General Shepherd Shi of the NCHC mentioned that NCHC promptly provides the professional service required in promoting the development of Taiwan artificial intelligence ecosystem, including high-speed cloud computation engine, network series flow storage and processing of data mass, and the conversion to smart AI computation analysis. As the foundation of national AI computation, TWCC satisfies the demand of the application of important data of Taiwan without departure and provides a flexible and efficient integration tool which better conforms to the demands of artificial intelligence and machine learning to accelerate the progress and benefits of Taiwan in data governance, analysis and various added-values.
