Online Conference for GLEON (Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network)
Due to COVID-19, the conference GLEON 21.5 (Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network) transitions to an online event from October 19, 2020 to October 22, 2020. The National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC) provided the online discussion platform for a total of 130 participants around the world. The event included keynote speeches, breakout discussions, training workshops and networking sessions.
This virtual conference utilized many collaboration tools such as Slack (group communication), VoiceThread (showcase of posters and reports), Cisco Webex (platform for speeches and networking) and Zoom (group discussions), to enrich the contents and enhance teamworking.
