SEAIP Southeast Asia International Joint-Research and Training Program 2022

The SEAIP Southeast Asia International Joint-Research and Training Program is an annual international conference that the National Center for High-performance Computing hosts every year to promote exchanges and cooperation among the United States, Germany, Portugal, Japan, South Korea and other Southeast Asian countries in high-speed computing, cloud, smart technology, and IoT as well as talent cultivation programs. The conference also cooperates with international organizations PRAGMA (www.pragma-grid.net) and CENTRA (globalcentra.org) to further exchanges. This also helps domestic research teams in international cooperation in information and communication platforms and applications.

This year it was held from December 7th to 10th at the National Center for High-performance Computing Hsinchu Headquarters, Taichung Branch, and Huisun Forest covering topics such as AI & Agriculture, CI, and HPC applications and progress sharing. Researchers from abroad visited the NCHC Taichung Branch to learn about storage and facility services and the advanced facility rooms where HPC services are housed. This sparked lively discussions. This year's theme is Cyberinfrastructure and HPC: Challenges & Opportunities for the Post-Pandemic Era. The conference focused on discussions on existing collaborations and future project cooperations.
