Publicsh Date:2019.10.15
To establish a linkage platform for international industrial, governmental, and research organizations and to help Taiwanese industries and academic institutions get into Thailand, in March 2019, the NARLabs officially established a Bangkok office in Thailand Science Park (TSP), which is managed by National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). The two sides have frequently worked with each other on technology and R&D. It is hoped that by having their respective leading-edge equipment and top talent work together, the fruit of their collaboration can be commercialized, and the engagement can lead to mutual benefits.

The NCHC held a Taiwan Data Cube Workshop in Thailand on August 27, 2019. It got the interest of Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency, which arranged for a National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) delegation to visit NCHC on October 15 in the hope that they could get a good understanding of supercomputers at NCHC, the development of AI applications, and NCHC's experience in data marts. They also wished to get an in-depth understanding of how NCHC has used AI in flood technologies, agricultural species identification, smart flood-proofing platform, and the development of Data Cube. The Thai delegation also visited National Space Organization of NARLabs to learn about how space telemetry might help AI disaster prevention and precision agriculture.
