About the Taipei Int'l Machine Tool Show

The show this year was rich and diverse. An AR experience pavilion was offered for the first time to show such technologies as injection moulding equipment working with robotic arms, single-minute exchange of die (SMED), sensing systems, and augmented reality applications. Sound production management systems and remote control were used together to build a sheet metal and aluminum alloy casting smart production line. Under “Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing”, one of the themes of the show, we exhibited cases of Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing solutions and complete supply chain for machine tools.

Furthermore, some main events took place on 3/5 and 3/6 at Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), where TIMTOS summit forums were hold. ABB, Optomec, Dassault Systèmes, Airbus, DMG, Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, and such well-known companies and elite experts talked about four topics: changes in smart IoT, additive manufacturing (AM), aerospace smart manufacturing, and automobile manufacturing; they explored applications of latest technologies and trends and pulses in the industry.

This show ran from March 4 to 9, 10:00 am till 6:00 pm. People in the industry may exchange their businesses cards for free admission tickets. General admission is NT$200, available till 4:00 pm. Domestic college students in machinery and related fields may show their student IDs to get free admission tickets. Children 12 or younger are not allowed to enter the venue.
