In pursuit of its ideals of being the best in the world and creating local values and in response to the southbound policy of the government, National Applied Research Labs will establish a collaborative relationship and sign an MOU with the Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). To strengthen the exchanges of leading edge equipment and talent and to help open up comprehensive collaboration in high tech R&D and innovation, NARL and its member agencies took part in NAC2019, visited NSTDA, and on 3/28 gave a speech at Thai - Taiwan Business Association on the development of AI in Taiwan.

After several days of study and exchange, NARLNCHC and NSTDA ThaiSC established eight areas for collaboration: Hardware/Software Architecture, Networking, Security, System Management, Facility Visit, Applications, AI, and IoT Platform. They exchanged experiences in building, maintaining, and servicing supercomputers. Preliminarily, NSTDA planned to send its personnel to visit Taiwan while, starting in May, NCHC would send its staffers to Thailand for 3-month visits.
