2022 Smart City Exhibition will be held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 from March 22 to 25.

The content presented by National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) is as below. Welcome to visit the exhibition for exchanges and interactions.

•  SmartLife of metaverse: The Smart City Information Sharing Platform, jointly developed by National Center for High-performance Computing, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Washington University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will build a life-centered urban information sharing system. Through the multi-target tracking technology developed by the team, combined with the National Network Center's high-speed computing platform (HPC), urban camera information can be identified and integrated, from the number and behavior of pedestrians to vehicle tracking and identification, and at the same time, combined with quantum optimization technology, information optimization will be provided to traffic units to optimize intersection-related signage and other issues.

•  3DGIS Platform of Smart Flood Prevention: With the connections between 3D integrated GIS platform and IoW technology, such digital twin concept is applied to develop  warning system for Water Resources Bureau to monitor urban floods. Through the AI application in constructing early warning and disaster response system, local governments can manage urban pumping stations with the forecasting floods. Furthermore, those  forecasting output, real-time CCTV, and 3D bathymetry in flooding area can be displayed in the presented 3D integrated GIS platform. Floods can therefore be controlled and  the resource can also be allocated remotely.

•  DiVE – Drive in Virtual Environment: Taiwan CAR Lab uses the domestic traffic accident statistics to summarize common traffic patterns in Taiwan, and has integrated the high definition mapping data made by Ministry of Interior to establish the DiVE (Drive in Virtual Environment) system. The DiVE system assists domestic industry, academia, and research institutions with the R&D of smart transportation or autonomous driving related technology with more reliable and easy way to test the decision making system .

•  The futureof Smart Dining- Intelligent Technology Demo Room: In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, many restaurants have been closed for maintaining anti-epidemic measures. NCHC combined multiple AI technologies and developed an automated service experience to provide a way for people to still enjoy the services received at restaurants while maintaining social distancing. To achieve this, we've incorporated technologies including Natural language processing (NLP) for Chinese, Cloud-Based Smart Point Cloud Processing (CSPCP), facial recognition and tracking systems, and artificial intelligence of things (AIoT).

•  Augmented Reality in Scientific Visualization: In this exhibition, we present flow simulation around a ship hull. Combined HPC and scientific data visualization technology, the big volume of data are turned into graphs. Audiences can see and interact with the simulated flow fields using AR technology.

•  Blockchain Platform @NCHC: NCHC blockchain as a service (BaaS) is a K8s-based platform which provides dual enterprise-grade permissioned blockchain frameworks including Hyperledger Besu and Fabric in TWAREN backbone. A wide variety of management and developent tools are offered to ensure the secure identity (Keycloak and Vault) and automated deployment (Gitea, Argo, and Drone). To connect the off-chain information, NCHC BaaS constructs trusted blockchain oracle services using TEE-enable  Intel SGX technology that enables blockchain and legacy system could coexist with minor migration efforts. In addition, based on NCHC BaaS platform, an innovative technology exhibition module is designed as a testbed for realizing a blockchain-related pilot and demonstrate the functionality of their advanced intentions.
