C-LAB Future Media Festival 'FUTURE VISION LAB 2021': accelerating visualization advances with cloud rendering power

Publicsh Date:2021.10.01
The National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) of the National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs), offering support for the Taiwanese contemporary culture laboratory (C-LAB) of the Ministry of Culture, provides GPU remote rendering, allowing the deployment of such advanced technologies as self-developed software and accelerating the production of audio-visual creations to build the laboratory for the experiment of future visual technologies.

Following the inaugural future vision exhibition project "FUTURE VISION LAB" last year that built a dome on its campus enabling novel sensory experiences, "FUTURE VISION LAB 2021" is here again in the C-LAB Future Media Festival. For eight weekends in a row, from October 8 to November 28, 14 programs and astronomical stargazing lectures will be offered. In addition to invited works and self-made programs, this festival openly calls for submissions of creations of experimental animations in audiovisuals, music, theater, hand drawing, and so forth. It is an attempt to use immersive projections to spark innovative ideas to breakthrough existing creations, technologies, and imagination.
