Overview
The Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly (PRAGMA) was formed in 2002 to establish sustained collaborations and advance the use of grid technologies in applications among a community of investigators working with leading institutions around the Pacific Rim. Currently there are 29 institutions in PRAGMA, who meet twice a year at PRAGMA Workshops. In PRAGMA, applications are the key, integrating focus that brings together the necessary infrastructure and middleware to advance the applicationˇ¦s goals.
The 14th PRAGMA Workshop, hosted by the National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) of the National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL) in Taiwan, will be held on 11-12 March at National Museum of Natural Science, Taichung. With the theme of ˇ§Living Gridˇ¨, the host NCHC artfully designs the program which combines multi-cultural folk arts with modern technology.
National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC), one of the child laboratories in National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL) family in Taiwan, plays the leading role of planning, and providing, HPC resources in the country. NCHC also commit to develop innovative and life-enhancing applications that best utilize these resources.
