Purpose & Areas of Interests

The PRAGMA Workshop Committee invites demonstration proposals for the 14th PRAGMA Workshop to be held on March 11-12, 2008, at the National Museum of Natural Science located in Taichung, Taiwan. The demo sessions are designed to demonstrate and elaborate the latest individual work group's progress as well as allow for detailed viewer feedback. We would also like to encourage the demo’ing of interesting and/or mature research prototypes specifically.

Format for Submission

Demonstrations:

Your demo proposal should consist of:

• An abstract containing the demo's technical content (not to exceed 1 page). Be sure to include your demo's title, authors, collaborators, references, acknowledgements, and your complete contact information.
• A detailed description of your hardware and software requirements (to be provided by the NCHC). Be sure to let us know what you will be bringing yourself and what you would like for us to provide for you. We will do our best to accommodate you.
• A reference website. This is optional but you are encouraged to provide such.

Posters:

Posters are being solicited in areas including but not limited to:

• middleware technologies
• collaborative environments
• geospatial applications
• biomedical applications
• disruptive technologies and novel applications

Submissions must include an abstract of no more than two pages. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the poster committee.

Submissions Procedure

The deadline for submission is Monday, February 29, 2008. Submissions should be in PDF format and should be submitted via email to Weicheng Huang (whuang@nchc.org.tw) by 29 Feb, 2008. Contact the demo/poster chair with any question.
