
The rapid improvement of the microprocessor and network has made it possible for the PC cluster to compete with conventional mainframes. Now cluster architecture is the current trend in supercomputing and continues to dominate with 80% of the TOP500 list. Based the research and development experience, the NCHC's PC Cluster research group builds many clusters and develops the necessary administrative software to run them, this can end up with a high-performance computing platform easy to access and/or to develop applications for users. We also provide our expertise in cluster computing and parallel processing to other research groups through training courses and consultation.
